Frankfurt Shisha Messe 2026: the winners, the brands and what's next

In short: ShishaMesse Frankfurt, the big annual shisha show at Messe Frankfurt, took place from 8 to 10 May 2026 in Halls 5 and 6. Trade press counted around 300 exhibitors and 35,000 visitors. The headline for us: Quasar won Best Hookah and XKAH won Best Accessory.

The 2026 award winners

• Best Hookah: Quasar. Shishagear is an official UK stockist of Quasar. Browse Quasar shishas.
• Best Accessory: XKAH. See the XKAH range.
• Best Charcoal: BlackCoco's. We stock Black Cocos coconut charcoal in 26mm and 27mm.
• Best Tobacco: Stral.

Who was there

The official exhibitor list read like a who's who of shisha. Among the brands:

• Shisha tobacco: Al Fakher (including its new range with Snoop Dogg; read Snoop Dogg now has his own shisha flavours), Tangiers, Social Smoke, 187 Tobacco, Chaos and Nameless.
• Shishas: El Badia, Moze, Embery, WD Hookah, Wow Hookah and Ocean Hookah.
• Charcoal: Cocobee and Cocobration.

Who can go?

• Friday is for the trade only.
• Saturday and Sunday are open to the public as well, but only to adults aged 18 and over. Under-18s are not allowed in, even with a parent.
• Tickets bought online included free public transport around Frankfurt, and VIP tickets were available too.

Frankfurt or Dortmund?

Germany has two big dates in the shisha calendar. The Frankfurt Shisha Messe in spring is all about shisha and open to the public at the weekend. InterTabac in Dortmund each September covers the whole tobacco and accessories trade. See our InterTabac 2026 report.

Save the date: 2027

The next ShishaMesse Frankfurt is planned for 23 to 25 April 2027, moving to Hall 12 at Messe Frankfurt. Tickets are due to go on sale in October.
